Misi Sebagai Pedagogi Pembebasan: Suatu Pendekatan Teologis terhadap Pendidikan dan Transformasi Sosial

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kecenderungan pemahaman misi gereja yang masih direduksi pada pewartaan Injil secara verbal dan aktivitas internal gereja, sehingga kurang memberi perhatian pada dimensi pendidikan iman dan transformasi sosial. Reduksi tersebut menyebabkan misi sering terlepas dari realitas ketidakadilan sosial dan proses pembentukan kesadaran kritis umat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji serta merumuskan kembali misi gereja sebagai proses pendidikan iman yang bersifat pembebasan, dialogis, dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis teologis-kritis melalui integrasi kerangka teologi pembebasan dan pedagogi kritis sebagai lensa konseptual. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada pemahaman misi gereja sebagai praksis pedagogis yang menyatukan refleksi teologis, pembentukan kesadaran kritis, dan keterlibatan sosial umat dalam satu kesatuan kerangka teologis yang utuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa misi sebagai pedagogi pembebasan berfungsi sebagai sarana pembentukan kesadaran iman, praksis pembebasan yang kontekstual, serta pendidikan transformasional dan dialogis. Dengan demikian, misi gereja dipahami sebagai proses pedagogis integral yang memampukan gereja berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam missio Dei melalui transformasi kehidupan sosial yang berkeadilan.
